If you really want to know what's on people's minds and in their hearts, forget about polls conducted by groups serving government, corporate or other entities. Forget about quotes you find in newspapers. Log online and visit the blogs and websites belonging to ordinary people that speak the contents of their minds and hearts.
I've seen some excellent commentary regarding the war in Iraq, from columnists like Ted Rall, rising alternative media influences, like Steve and Anthony at GNN, to bloggers I've come to like and respect. I could probably overwhelm you with links to outstanding commentary on the events surrounding the U.S. dominated occupation of Iraq. I'll spare you by simply offering one link to my impression of the absolute best remarks regarding this situation.
DenizenGT's views regarding this mess are the most thought-provoking, insightful and wise remarks I've seen yet. Believe me, I have heard and read some outstanding commentary on this matter. His stands out the most, above the words of his elders that also oppose this occupation and the invasion that took place a little more than a year ago. Please read his words. Give his blog time to load, because he's also an artist whose creative images grace his blog.
To Denizen, if you read this: Thank you for expressing what's been on my mind and in my heart so beautifully...With truth and compassion!
