Oxymorons

Think about this for a moment:

We want to protect the environment by causing fires, therefore smoking up our air with burning toxins. From Earth Liberation Front (ELF), a group of so-called environmentalists that just recently set ablaze apartments in the San Diego area and SUV's in other California communities.

We want to protect animals welfare and rights by freeing horses, that panic and run into streets where they can be hit by cars. From PiTA, a so-called animal rights group. A friend of mine, animal lover and owner of Norwegian Fjord horses told me about this one two or three years ago. She loves her horses and would never be cruel to them. She takes good care of her horses. The idea of a bunch of people releasing her horses into an environment where they can be harmed or killed would send this woman into a tearful rampage.

These two groups provide sound argument for me to feel comfortable in my "I rarely join" philosophy. I would hate for my name to be associated with the stupid acts that some members of these radical groups commit. Don't these numbskulls stop to think that actions like the two examples above actually defeat whatever cause they promote? Protect the environment by damaging it to make a statement? Protect animals by creating circumstances where they can be harmed or killed? This makes as much sense as peace and humanity activists going on a killing spree to protest against violence, or right-to-life anti-abortion activists killing doctors and others to show how much respect they have for a person's right to live.

Fools act on impulse, instead of first carefully weighing out the reasoning behind, and consequences of their actions before they do something stupid. Therefore, these people are fools. Just being foolish is one thing, but greater harm comes as a result of the actions mentioned above. These days, when fools representing non-government organizations of activists with causes, like human rights, animal rights, and environmental concerns act out in ways that give KGB John Ashcroft and the other fascists in government excuses for their attacks on American civil liberties, they defeat every argument the rest of us are making against the government burning our Constitutionally protected rights. The recent destructive acts of ELF members has been declared as acts of terrorism.

Not only have these fools set themselves up for John Ashcroft's KGB force, they've also delivered the message, "Our cause is unworthy for the American public to take seriously." They've communicated to the less-informed newspaper readers and television viewers of American mainstream society that they and their causes must be dismissed as silly radical nonesense that can be dangerous and is known to be destructive. These morons failed to take into account that they've already contradicted themselves. They've delivered the message that they, not SUV's and urban development are a threat to our society and/or the environment. The mainstream media (Associated Press and Reuters) reported on their recent actions and not too kindly and sympathetically, either. Just by stating a few facts, these media sources were able to convey that ELF is a destructive organization of extremists that endanger our environment while vandalizing other people's property. I'll just bet that the freedom-hating fascists of John Ashcroft's circles really love these morons.

Way to go, assholes!
