Do you remember those old Hollywood musicals? Well here's a new twist... Musicals in text. Don't worry, I'll explain.
We recently had a visitor at a fairly new forum, The Round Table that's owned by a friend of mine and is my favorite place to post comments and news related stuff regarding what's happening in the world today. She countered our position on the war in Iraq and on war in general. For emphasis, she pasted the pro war lyrics of a Clint Black song.
Well, in spite of her stance, she inspired my friend (known as Child Protector) and me (I'm Truth Warrior there) to also follow our own statements with lyrics. The inspiration didn't stop there. Child Protector and I held a private conference where we agreed to launch a new type of discussion format called Lyrical Discussion. That's where you use the lyrics of songs to make your points.
I started the first thread in the Lounge. I've added a few posts just to set an example and get this thing going. I also added some links to words where the reader can visit a site or download a sound file or flash movie pertaining to the topic, because I encourage participants to be creative.
If you'd like to join the Lyrical Discussion, or any of the other discussions, come on over, register for membership and start posting.
